It's an uneven treatment, men are less sheltered than women, women are protected all their lives up until they leave college (graduate yo!).

Men have more sexual freedom than women in our society..moreso than women. For instance nobody sneezes at a man sleeping around with various ladies, be a woman and do same, you get called a wh***. A woman will typically face a lot more resistance trying to bring a non-Nigerian home than a man bringing a non-Nigerian lady home.

The fear is that since the woman is a part extension of the fam, some parents wouldn't want ol' girl to be mixed in with some other race or ethnic group..they wanna preserve the lineage if you get my drift. Not in all cases but in some cases this is the mindset behind that.

Is it fair? No.

On the other hand, a lot of Nigerian women actually prefer being with us for reasons of compatibility esp from a cultural standpoint. You tend to click well with someone who comes from the same background as you.neohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00482376355312549331noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14243811.post-15871220415314917962007-06-30T12:14:00.000-04:002007-06-30T12:14:00.000-04:00Nigerian men = equal opportunity lovers of womenNi...Nigerian men = equal opportunity lovers of women

Nigerian women = not so much, culturally more inclined to Nigerian men.
==========

Based on what?

Not question your authority, but I want some back up.M.Dot.https://www.blogger.com/profile/05113752779973426025noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14243811.post-30164039141761372852007-06-29T22:12:00.000-04:002007-06-29T22:12:00.000-04:00Work has kept me from postin in a minute, but let ...Work has kept me from postin in a minute, but let me hop in on this. No weddings for me this summer.

What other sports have an age pre req before one is eligble to turn pro?
==================================
In the NFL, you have to be two years removed from high school to enter the league.

I think that the NFLPA(& Upshaw) is a little scandless because their not working to take better care of former players. But it's not their fault that things like this are never planned for before they happen. I just hope the current players are aware that the same fate awaits them.

High school players should be allowed to go straight to the league. If the owners want to pay them the money, let them give it to them.

College ain't for everybody.

I've interacted with alot of college athletes and their just like us. Interesting...

I have two wedding invitations with one confirmed somewhere in the east coast.

Should Gene Upshaw be the only one held accountable though?

Eh, I still think college is important for a kid who wants to turn pro. I do understand however there are times when one has no choice but to go pro but if you do have the opportunity to go to college first I personally would advice that. The intangibles of responsibility, accountability to yourself and your school-work I think helps in a lot of ways to prep a kid for the wild, crazy world of pro athletes..but that's me.

I will agree in the light of age augmented rules the military one is bogus if a kid at that same age isn't allowed to pop bottles.neohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00482376355312549331noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14243811.post-54441981563313177642007-06-28T07:52:00.000-04:002007-06-28T07:52:00.000-04:00Arn't they.And Alvin is such a sweet dude too.Soo ...Arn't they.

And Alvin is such a sweet dude too.

Soo happy for them.

They'll have little over achieving black babies.

LOL.M.Dot.https://www.blogger.com/profile/05113752779973426025noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14243811.post-37252882623721719452007-06-28T07:02:00.000-04:002007-06-28T07:02:00.000-04:00Beautiful couple.Beautiful couple.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
