But I know I don't have the patience to deal with children in a school setting. I got away with murder as a kid in school and to some degree teachers hands are tied in what they can do. I still have respect for the teacher that whipped out the zach morris cell phone on me in 8th grade and called my mom(even went to her retirement party).

Secondly, I didn't say that everyone would want to be a teacher. Just like everyone who is a doctor or lawyer didn't really want to be one, they can still be qualifed to be one. The weeding out process is more complicated, but people still slip through the cracks.

With a master's degree the people would be qualified, I didn't say pull people off the street. But you can a master's in business and get a teaching certificate. M. Dot may have implied a master's in education, but it wasn't stated.

& I didn't say everybody. I find it sad that I almost make more than my mother(who teaches special ed and has a masters), a year out of school. I'm still looking for a job in what I studied as well.

I always try to give thought to what I say, my degree in Strategic Communication almost has me conditioned to it.

I can take it Stepehen and I'm always willing to further explain my view,Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14243811.post-72936438149344039402007-05-08T19:46:00.000-04:002007-05-08T19:46:00.000-04:00@ Hippiechyck.Welcome to the Fanleee.Glad you comm...@ Hippiechyck.

Welcome to the Fanleee.

Glad you commented.

Isn't that Obama Porch Monkey-sh-t some sh-t.

Black people ain't sayin he black.
SOME BLACK TALKING HEADS are saying that he ain't black and WHITE MEDIA, Big W, is co-signage.

The streets KNOW that black man is black.

=========
=========
Usta go to Assim Negro all the time.
Will check in to peep.

~M.M.Dot.https://www.blogger.com/profile/05113752779973426025noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14243811.post-21391877985967841662007-05-08T19:18:00.000-04:002007-05-08T19:18:00.000-04:00"On top of that you'd get people teaching just for..."On top of that you'd get people teaching just for the money. But, real talk:

"That's bullsh*t." (c) Shadow

Pay teachers something legitimate, at least $50-60K, depending on the location. Sure, you're gonna have a bunch of people run to do it. But we SHOULD want the best qualified people to teach our kids, not try to discourage them w/ low salaries, so that only people willing to enter the profession are those "who truly have the passion for this type of work."

And once you pay them a decent wage, keep out people who don't measure up. We do it to potential doctors. Lawyers, too. You don't measure up, you can't practice. We don't want incompetents operating on people and screwing them of their inalienable rights.

But somehow, when it comes to children, we think it's okay to stick our youngin's w/ someone who's between jobs and can't find a better way to pay for a three piece at Popeye's. Why can't we search for the BEST possible candidates? Don't we want MBAs, JDs and PhDs thinking, "Yeah, i could be ridiculously rich, or i could make a decent living working with the future generation"?

So yeah, i'm just not feelin' the "Everybody's gonna want to teach" argument any more.

Sorry for unloading on you, m.z.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14243811.post-53041777631412450192007-05-08T18:46:00.000-04:002007-05-08T18:46:00.000-04:00re: paying teachers a decent wage - welcome to Can...re: paying teachers a decent wage - welcome to Canada

re: Obama as porch monkey - and black people are saying he ain't black

re: old folks without bingo - have you read theassimilatednegro.com?HippieChyckhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12960898354034124376noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14243811.post-39915160821530267882007-05-08T18:12:00.000-04:002007-05-08T18:12:00.000-04:00(sometimes) can pull out a belt if students don't ...(sometimes) can pull out a belt if students don't behave.
======

If kids are engaged.

And you remove the fake sugar.

And get them to do yoga.

You won't have to beat'em.M.Dot.https://www.blogger.com/profile/05113752779973426025noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14243811.post-23292853881426069912007-05-08T18:11:00.000-04:002007-05-08T18:11:00.000-04:00Stephen said..."relationships as manifestations of...Stephen said...

"relationships as manifestations of supply and demand"
=======

And you stop analyzing "our sh-t" online;->M.Dot.https://www.blogger.com/profile/05113752779973426025noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14243811.post-24816127759896477842007-05-08T18:05:00.000-04:002007-05-08T18:05:00.000-04:00Don't forget that teachers in other countries(some...Don't forget that teachers in other countries(sometimes) can pull out a belt if students don't behave.matt williamshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14336864718324358033noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14243811.post-23266164794680449592007-05-08T18:04:00.000-04:002007-05-08T18:04:00.000-04:00"What if reading, writing, science and math were s..."What if reading, writing, science and math were standardized across the country the way it is in China and India?"
I think is a good idea and if children don't do well, parents should be heald responsible.matt williamshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14336864718324358033noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14243811.post-12427825086077341642007-05-08T18:01:00.000-04:002007-05-08T18:01:00.000-04:00Stephen said...
