Is There Something in the Air?

TwitThis

Make Up to Break Up.

Heath Ledger and Heather Williams.
Now I mention these two mainly cuz they had an apartment in
downtown BK and people usta' always see them around the way.

That sucks. I like to see young families trying to twerk it out.
Maybe they just need a break from one another

Shaq is getting a divorce. I wonder what the final straw was?

I can't talk. That lil' in between time in a relationship is irritating as sh*t.

Puff and Kym sorta break up.

Halle is having a baby.
God Bless her. I know she is a long time diabetic.

I wish her a safe pregnancy and a happy healthy baby.

One of my greatest
fears is losing my baby.

I came across this book title,
Barbershops, Bibles, and
BET: Everyday Talk and Black Political Thought, any a y'all read it?

Is their something in the air?

The Shaq/Heath/Puff break ups have me thinking about
relationships and why we break sh*t off when we do.

Are your summer flings losing their luster?

Does the end of summer give us that extra kick of courage
we need to say
buh-buy?

South beach just got a little bit more crazy.

I've always viewed shaq as that family dude, Just a bigger kid in the mists of his own kids.

I also wonder what caused it.

Sometimes you land on the bad side of the coin flip I guess.

Sh*t just doesn't work out.

Oh thats right.

He did move.

But she has like 4 kids in 5 years.

She STAYED pregnant.

I wonder what effect that had on her self esteem?

It's the natural cycle of things. Humans are animals and although we try to separate ourselves from "lower animals" and their ties to nature's cycles... we really can't.

Fall is upon us, things that bloomed in spring (spring love) and flourished in summer (summer passion) recede and go back into the earth in the fall and hibernate in the winter. Many mammals and trees and various other organisms do it... and so do we.

We will experience and up swing in a month or two though (especially in the colder climates). Where as summer is hotter and we experience the height of physical strength, winter brings out the more spiritual and emotional part of us (and folks need body heat when the temp drops). When this happens, being communal mammals, we seek out the comfort of companionship.

Incidentally, this is also why there are so many suicide deaths around the end of the year. Not because of loneliness around the holidays (although that occurs a lot as well)... but more around emotional and spiritual openness and vulnerability around the winter solstice... when our spiritual energy peaks (note: physical energy peaks around summer solstice, emotional energy around the fall equinox and mental around the spring equinox). This explains why so many faiths have holy days around this time.

Ok I'm done with the metaphysical stuff, but I hope this helps to explain why everyone is doing the split around the same time of the year, every year.

I was told when I got to the shores of this 'ere country that summer time was break up and new r/ship season..so I guess it goes with the times?

The Shaq divorce was not a good look..like they were one of the black power couples I was cheering on as far as being in the spotlight and all..oh well...

As far as Puffy and Kim, she should've dumped homeboy a long time ago..how you gon' hang around THAT long with a dude that apparently feels like he's still 22 and needs to sow his wild oats around...
